Part one
Decision and preparation
We decided to visit Mount Rainier for several reasons. Firstly, we have always been fascinated by the natural beauty of the mountain, with its towering peak and snow-capped summit. Secondly, we are interested in the diverse and unique ecosystem of the Pacific Northwest, and we wanted to explore the park’s forests, alpine meadows, and wildlife.
Additionally, we also heard that the park offers a variety of activities such as skiing, snowboarding and hot springs and I wanted to experience them too.
Finally, we wanted to escape from the city for a while and spend some time in nature, and I believe that Mount Rainier is the perfect destination for that. The combination of the mountain’s natural beauty, the diverse outdoor activities, and the rich cultural and historical heritage made it an appealing destination for us. With this in mind we start our journey from Seattle Washington and head to this beautiful National park. Follow us and enjoy this amazing experience we had.
Journey from Seattle to Mount Rainier National Park.
As we set out from Seattle, we can’t help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation for our journey to Mount Rainier National Park. The drive from Seattle is relatively short, only about 90 miles southeast, but it’s filled with stunning scenery and it’s a great opportunity to see the countryside of Washington state.
As we leave Seattle, I pass through the lush green forest, and the roads start to twist and turn through the Cascade Mountains. The trees tower above me, casting dappled sunlight on the road ahead. The closer we get to the park, the more the mountains start to come into view, and we catch my first glimpse of Mount Rainier in the distance.
As we enter the park, we are greeted by a sign that welcomes us to Mount Rainier National Park, and we can’t help but feel a sense of awe and wonder. The park is home to several entrances and we choose to enter through the Nisqually entrance and we are immediately struck by the natural beauty of the area.
The park road winds through lush forests and along sparkling rivers, and the scenery gets more and more breathtaking with every mile.
As we arrived at Mount Rainier in the evening, we checked into our cabin. After dropping off my bags, we took a moment to admire the stunning views of the mountain from my cabin’s windows. The peak was visible in the distance, illuminated by the last rays of sunlight, and the surrounding forests were bathed in a soft golden light.
We then took a walk around the cabin to familiarize ourselves with the area. We explored the property and took note of the amenities available, such as the fire pit, picnic tables, and BBQ grills, to plan for my next day activities.
After our walk, we returned to our cabin and got settled in. We unpacked our bags, laid out our hiking gears, and organized our things for the next day’s adventure. We then decided to take a short hike to stretch our legs and get some fresh air before dinner.
As the night fell, we cooked our dinner on the BBQ grill and enjoyed it while sitting around the fire pit, listening to the soothing sounds of the forest. As we drifted off to sleep, we felt grateful for the opportunity to be in such a beautiful place, and couldn’t wait for the next day’s adventure.
